Since our formation by people who have played key roles in some of the leading global and European consulting and IT Services organisations, we have established a reputation for delivery of high quality results to major corporations in a variety of industries.

Differentis has a great team of experienced consultants and associates, recruited by the original founders from their network of contacts, who have the skills to:

Our Core Business Areas

Differentis has no commercial relationship with any technology manufacturer or software product company. However, we have experience of and expertise in the products of the main suppliers in the industry. We are therefore in a position to provide objective and independent advice to our clients based on what is right for them in either of our two core business areas:

  • Strategies for IT and IT Transformation where we work with the IT management team of our clients to set their strategies and then to manage or lead the implementation initiatives affecting the IT operating model.
  • Change Programmes and Projects where we work with our clients to manage the design and delivery of business change initiatives where IT is the enabler.

1) Solutions Architects

A Solutions Architect provides both the technical leadership and accountability for the overall success of an engagement’s technical team’s efforts including architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment for the business solution. This high-level role requires an in-depth understanding of the client’s business, its operating model and business challenges, together with the technology available for creating a fully integrated, successful business solution. This role would typically form part of a design authority group on a project, which strives to maintain start to finish integrity of the solution

2) Business Architects

The Business Architect provides a common view of business capabilities, processes, and strategic needs to support objective and structured decision-making for investment in business and technology change. By creating and maintaining an end-to-end view of an organisation’s major business processes, the Business Architect will provide the basis for improved business process management and process improvements. They are responsible for developing and presenting the ‘case for action’, to identify and focus on the business areas in greatest need of change. The Business Architect will work closely with technical experts to define solutions that support the redesigned or improved business processes using current and future technologies.

 3) Programme Managers

The Programme Manager takes accountability for delivering the intended programme business results within time and budget, scope and quality. They are responsible for managing and implementing all aspects of change (both business and technical) through the lifecycle of the programme. They are responsible for regular and effective communication with project sponsors and other key stakeholders to report progress, resolve issues and mitigate risks where necessary.

4) Management Consultants

Differentis Management Consultants typically work with Business Executives, CIOs and their Senior Management Teams, focused on “Managing The Business of IT”, at a strategic level.

Typical assignments could include:

  • Undertaking assessments of a Business Function or the IT Department,
  • Assessing the impact of new Business Strategies on IT
  • Developing, reviewing and refining Strategies for IT, appropriate to the circumstances (e.g. the impact of M&A, Consumerisation of IT etc)
  • Developing, reviewing and refining Business Cases for Investment, at all stages of the Business Case Lifecycle
  • Conducting Due Diligence Assessments on a Company’s technology & IT services in advance of its being purchased
  • Developing IT Operating Models and Operating Model Elements
  • Carrying out sourcing assessments in advance of outsourcing
