Technology Division Strengthens Ties With Major Clients

London, UK (Jan 28, 2010) - This January, Arrows Group Technology division is celebrating not just the New Year, but also the achievement of a milestone goal set less than six months ago.

As a leading recruiter in the Technology sector for several years, Arrows Group Technology wanted to cement its position as a key supplier to several of its core clients. Today, through building relationships of trust and consistently delivering exceptional service, the team has been awarded approved supplier contracts with three hugely respected and rapidly expanding businesses within the sector.

1. Virgin Media

Virgin Media sought to streamline and focus their recruitment processes by reducing their pool of preferred recruitment agencies from around 10 to no more than three. Arrows Group Technology Division was currently working with the company to place candidates in Business Analyst, Java Developer and Infrastructure roles including System Administrators, Database Developers and Network Professionals.

In order to be awarded a position as an approved supplier, Arrows Group had to compete against several other recruitment firms, submitting a detailed proposal to Hyphen Recruitment Outsourcing (Virgin Media’s outsourced provider of internal recruitment services) and proving high quality candidate delivery through measurement of the submittal to placement ratio.

The strength of this proposal, along with references from existing contacts at Virgin and an impressive submittal to placement ratio of 80%, led to Arrows Group Technology division being appointed as an approved supplier on a 12 month rolling contract. This contract not only enables the team to continue to place candidates within Virgin Media, but also expands their remit significantly to include sourcing candidates for roles within other Virgin divisions, such as Virgin Mobile and Virgin Active.

2. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE).

SCEE looks after the social networking platform on the Sony Playstation 3, a forum for gamers to come together and interact. Arrows Group Technology Division was currently working with SCEE to place roles including Java Developers and Project Managers.

In order to be awarded approved supplier status with SCEE, the division had to develop a strong relationship with SCEE HR and Procurement teams, to ensure that services were delivered and managed exactly to the client’s requirements. A relationship was also formed with SCEE’s VP of Research and Design, who helped to recommend Arrows Group for their preferred status.

This process was highly successful and Arrows Group Technology division are now recognized as one of a maximum of three ‘tier one’ recruiters for SCEE. This position gives the team preferential treatment to other lower-tier recruitment providers, including receiving recruitment briefs two weeks before ‘tier 2’ providers, significantly increasing the number of roles the team is able to fill for SCEE.

3. AN International Media

AN International Media is a large umbrella organization which owns a number of well known companies including the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, Metro, Teletext and Jobsite.

Arrows Group Technology Division were currently placing candidates for Java Developer and Project Manager roles at one of AN’s daughter companies, Associated Northcliffe Digital.

Through the team’s success in AN’s procurement review process, Arrows Group Technology division were appointed approved supplier for the entire AN International Media group, recruiting for roles across all the companies within the organization’s network.

All three of these newly established relationships is a major win for Arrows Group Technology division, further strengthening the team’s importance and reputation within the sector. Charles Sell, division manager, calls the success “a fantastic achievement for the whole team”, continuing, “this success has now led us to establish a dedicated Key Accounts subdivision, the main role of which will be to service our largest and most established clients.”
