Portfolio Manager, Group Programme Manager

Permanent / £90000 - £100000 per annum + car allowance + shares + benefits

Opportunity:
Industry leading blue chip is looking for an experienced Portfolio Manager/ Group Programme Manager to manage and deliver a portfolio of programmes and to be responsible for managing a complex resource pool both on and offshore. This is a senior management opportunity ideal for someone looking to be hands on i.e. to drive complex projects and programmes themselves, rather than just managing those who do. The Portfolio Manager/ Group Programme Manager will also be responsible for regular and effective communication with project sponsors and other key stakeholders. Essential skills, which must be included where relevant in the CV:
- Experience of building relationships beyond technology communities to work effectively with senior business people i.e. supporting business initiatives and requirements – Experience of internet-based software development and software terminology. Ecommerce experience is ideal
- A proven record in delivering multiple complex, million pound programmes – Proven experience in managing a complex resource pool and stakeholder expectations i.e. where resources are limited – Proven experience of managing a onshore and offshore teams
- Knowledge of multiple project management methodologies, ideally experience of working in an Agile/ Scrum environment
- Ability to develop a strong programme teams, across departments and locations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent academic background, minimum of a Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities:
- Work with key business stakeholders across the business to identify requirements, to manage and deliver a portfolio of programmes, and to manage budgets and resource pools – To work with global teams to develop plans for future projects and programmes – Managing multi-disciplinary teams to drive programmes to achieve the intended business outcomes against the defined critical success factors
- Manage key stakeholder relationships and resource planning
