System Administrator – Windows / VMware / Apache

One of the UK’s leading online property firms are looking for a Windows System Administrator to work a challenging role in a highly transactional business-consumer environment. The company are regularly upgrading and investing in new technologies in a modern online technology stack environment.

The successful candidate should come from a web hosting environment and will join the Operations team, helping the running of the system infrastructure.

The successful candidate will possess:
*Networks: Switching / Routing / Firewalls / Security. Cisco qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience essential.
*Windows Server 2008 / 2003.
*Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN’s
*Experience VMware ESX and ESXi.
*Web & application servers: Apache/IIS & .Net.
*Load balancers: (preferably F5)
*Dell Server Blades and Chassis.
*Monitoring, automation and system management technologies.
*Good Documentation skills.
*Enterprise Backup methodologies’ and technologies.

The perfect candidate will also possess:
*Load balancing skills.
*Networking skills, Cisco.
*Experience with SAN technologies (Hitachi AMS/ IBM & FalconStor desirable) and have the confidence to configure and make changes to live systems.
*Storage Management across an enterprise
*A web-based background with High volume traffic.
*Some MS SQL 2005/2008 skills.
*MS Exchange 2010 skills.
*The use of LAN Extensions between sites and routing
*Have previously worked in an infrastructure team for an online portal
*Linux System experience.
